This small minimalist home located just outside the Australian spa town of Hepburn Springs is beautiful and amazingly built. It was designed as a small intimate retreat by architecture firm Robert Nichol & Sons. While being small in form, the place does not lack in design details.
The living room looks superbly clean and elegant. I love the big open windows, they make the house interact well with the surrounding landscapes. As a result, it creates an open feel while manages to keep everything cozy. The choice of wall art and the minimalist fireplace compliments the whole look beautifully.
The whole house balances wood and other materials elegantly. In particular, the dark wood and mostly grey furniture works really well together.
I feel that the exterior while looking really modern, still fits really well with the natural surroundings. This is probably because of the beautiful brown color and the wood and stone materials.
The house may be small, but for me, the beautiful minimalist design & architecture makes it into one of my #dreamhousegoals.
