Christmas trees has been a staple for homes during Christmas time for centuries, probably even longer than that (okay, I don’t really know about that). From reading around, apparently it started from a tradition where people used to bring in the trees to save them from dying from of the really cold weather. Cool stuff.
Today, the tradition is very commercialized, and people are making farms of them and is now a huge industry. However, having a huge tree inside the house can be a bit of a mess and might not even be suitable for smaller homes.
Interestingly, a design group from Slovenia, Hello Yellow House has designed Ikea-like minimalist Christmas trees called Yelka which you can assemble for your minimalist home.
These beautiful Christmas trees are made of real wood, and are just beautiful to look at. They are easy to assemble and also easy to repack and reuse for multiple Christmases, which can save you a lot of money.
Furthermore, they use simple screws, so no tacks or needles are required. They are also made to be child and pet friendly, so it is perfect for relatives to play and interact around.
The trees come in 3 wood types, 3 stand colors, 2 stand shapes and 3 sizes, Small (75 cm/2,46 feet high), Medium (100 cm/3,28 feet high), and Large (150 cm/4.92 feet high).
